John Lincoln, Executive Director


John Lincoln began his insurance career in Lloyd's in 1972 and gained wide experience in the London Market over 14 years working for Bain Dawes, Ropners, Norman Frizzells and E A Notcutt before joining Anthony Jones (UK) Limited in 1986.

In 1991 John formed Lincoln Insurance Services where he took the role of Managing Director.  Under John’s guidance, the brokerage acquired Tilbury Steward in 1996, before merging with Truman Insurance Brokers in 2001 to form Truman Lincoln Limited with John continuing as Managing Director.

In June 2003, John formed COBRA Network Ltd with Steve Burrows, becoming Managing Director of both Truman Lincoln and COBRA Network.  As COBRA Network grew John’s focus turned to COBRA Network as Managing Director.  In 2007 John took the additional responsibility to manage COBRA London Markets (COBRA’s Lloyd’s brokerage) as Executive Director.

John is currently in the final year of a three-year term as a board director of ASCnet, the world-wide user group of Applied Systems Inc., the developers of the Agency Manager (TAM) broker back-office system.

Richard Williams, Managing Director


Richard has over 40 years experience as a broker and owner of several brokering houses in the insurance and re-insurance markets.  Richard joined G.A.L. in 1991 to develop a re-insurance and international account with two of his colleagues from Norex plc.  In 1993, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director with responsibility for Research and Development.

Peter Monnickendam, Director


Peter has over 36 years experience and heads the UK Commercial division along with Andy Graham.  His responsibilities include the placement of non-marine business from UK and Republic of Ireland brokers as well as overseeing the numerous line slips placed in the London market.  His team are probably some of the most experienced in London and pride themselves in providing a first class service on business transacted and claim settlements.

Andy Graham, Director


Andy is one of the UK’s leading liability brokers and has over 20 years experience in the Lloyd’s and London markets.  Andy joined Griffiths & Armour (London) Limited in 1993 to establish their Liability portfolio.  In September 2004, Andy was a key member of the team that successfully completed the management buyout of G.A.L., now COBRA London Markets.  Andy heads up the UK Commercial division with Peter Monnickendam.

Peter Parker, Director


International Director Peter Parker has over 40 years insurance experience producing and placing UK and International business into the Lloyd's and London markets.  Peter is responsible for International Reinsurance and a number of specialist areas including Contingency, Performance Bonding and Financial Risks as well as developing business for the PA and PI teams.

Graham Pickering, Director


Graham has spent in excess of 30 years placing and producing International and UK business into the Lloyds market.

Hannah Poulton ACA, Finance Director


Hannah qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999 before working as an auditor specialising in regulated companies. In 2001, Hannah moved to COBRA London Markets Limited, a former audit client, advancing to Finance Director in 2004.  Hannah was appointed as finance director of the COBRA Group on its formation in September 2005 and now sits on the board of all companies in the Group, together with the acquisition committee of COBRA Insurance Management, the Audit Committee, the Nomination Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the compliance committee of COBRA Insurance Management.
